Mission Zero Calderdale was delighted to attend and present at the HIV Prevention England Conference 2024. Taking place in London on Friday 6 September, the conference was focussed on prioritising equity and impact.

There were a range of speakers including Richard Angell OBE, Terrence Higgins Trust, Andrew Gwynne MP, Minister for Public Health and Prevention (pictured(, Professor Kevin Fenton, Department for Health and Social Care and many more.

Mission Zero was part of the event looking at working in partnership for impact, where we showcased our partnership approach towards 2030 goals in Calderdale. This was led by Mission Zero project manager Malcolm Struthers with John Fox and Asjad Mahmood from The Hepatitis C Trust (pictured).

Throughout the day there were fascinating insights into PrEP awareness and needs, discussions on opt-out testing for HIV in emergency departments, examples of developing better insights to achieve equity for underserved communities and much more. It was great to be part of this conversation.
