The Mission Zero initiative officially launched on Thursday 9 May. On the day testing and screening for HIV, TB and viral hepatitis took place at St Augustine’s in Halifax. They work across Calderdale, giving people practical support needed to rebuild their lives with dignity, and we offer a range of activities that help them feel happier and more connected.
You can now see a video from the launch (below).
Mission Zero aims to end new HIV, TB and viral hepatitis transmissions, stopping preventable deaths and eliminating associated discrimination and stigma in Calderdale by 2030.
This event was an opportunity for those that access St Augustine’s to get a test and find out more about the initiative. Around 40 people took part and we plan to host a follow up event soon.
Further testing and screening events will be taking place across Calderdale throughout 2024, look out for more information coming soon.
